Guest Post On Problogger And JohnChow

If you are a blogger then you know how powerful guest posting can be. There are many hidden benefits that come from having your guest posts published on high traffic blogs such as Problogger or JohnChow.

Most bloggers do guest posting because of the link they get back to their website. Some do it for traffic and hope to gain more readers for their blog.

Backlinks from guest posting can truly help your website rank better in the serps. Google treats those links well too, because there is manual human review of your website and the content you are submitting.

Guest posting is something you should seriously consider doing if you want to get on people’s radar in my opinion. I know it’s hard to come up with killer content and just send it off to someone else to be published on their website. That is why I haven’t done much of that for a long time. I have written many posts that were supposed to be guest posts for other blogs, but after I finished it I just published it here Guest Post On Problogger And JohnChow

Anyway, so how did I land my guest post on Problogger?

Well, just like anybody else would I went to Problogger.com and started searching for information about submitting guest posts. After reading their guidelines I scrolled down to the bottom of the page and looked for the Contact Us link.

I filled out the contact form and waited for someone to respond lol

After about a week (or longer don’t remember exactly) I didn’t hear from anyone. I almost gave up on Problogger and wanted to try somewhere else. But if you know me I don’t give up easily so I decided to take a different approach.

I went back to Problogger and looked up Darren’s physical address Guest Post On Problogger And JohnChow Then I printed my guest post and mailed it first class mail! I figured that will get seen by someone over there. After a week I got an email from their content manager (Score!).

I was asked to send over the post again by email so I did. Next day I received a response that it was rejected Guest Post On Problogger And JohnChow

It wasn’t rejected because of low quality content or anything, it was rejected because they already had published a similar post before.

So I asked if I can submit another piece and this time I was going to do some research on what’s already been published over there. Have you gone to Problogger.com before? I had a hard time coming up with something fresh to be honest. Darren’s blog is huge and they publish new content daily.

Anyway, I decided to use Google to find out my next topic.

After about an hour of searching I found something I could write about.

Guest Post On Problogger And JohnChow

The above image shows the keyword phrase I searched that got no results from Problogger. Now if you type that in you will find my guest post.

So basically, by using Google I was able to find something that has not been covered on their blog. I quickly emailed their content manager and told them my next topic. Then after I finished the post I sent it over and this time it got accepted.

My tip to you is: Research the topic first so that you don’t have to jump through all the hops like I did.

What was the effect on my site?

The traffic doubled the day it was published, plus I did gain some new subscribers to my list. Was it worth it? Absolutely!

Now how did I get my post published on JohnChow?

Well that was a bit easier Guest Post On Problogger And JohnChow I just emailed John and attached the word document with the post. I formatted everything nicely (including the author bio) so all he had to do is copy and paste.

So you might be wondering what is the hidden benefit from these guest posts? The answer is leverage!

I can now use that as leverage when trying to guest post on other high traffic blogs. It’s going to be much easier now to get attention and be taken more seriously. I think that’s the biggest and most important benefit you get after you land a guest posting deal on authority sites like that.

If you are interested in growing your blog then guest posting is something you should seriously consider. Find a few good blogs and ask! That’s all it takes to get an answer.

Make Money With Ecommerce Store Website

Do you want to sell physical products online? Well, you could start your own website store within days by using dropshipping companies to fulfill your orders while you concentrate on marketing of your site.

The main reason why people start an ecommerce store is to make money with it obviously, but I would create one just for the purpose of flipping it later on.

If you think about it there is more money to be made if you flip these sites and accumulate the capital you gain from selling it.

So how can you create your own ecommerce store?

First, you need to decide what you are going to sell. You need to find products to populate your store and then you need to get it ranked in Google.

The cool thing about ecommerce sites is that they sort of get a free pass from Google and it’s easier for them to rank without huge amount of content. People that search for specific products usually have their mind made up about making a purchase so no need to throw 2000 words pages at them.

Second, you need to register a domain name and get a hosting account. I recommend that you use Hostgator for your hosting provider and register your domain name through Namecheap.

Third, you will have to install a shopping cart script. There are a few things you need to consider when choosing good shopping cart software:

- Needs to be SEO friendly. Your script should generate seo friendly urls for your product pages. This is in fact very important so make sure to go with one that does that.

- Needs to work on your hosting provider. Some scripts will work on Windows hosting while others on Linux.

- Go with a company that provides good support

I looked at BigCommerce and Volusion shopping cart software and both look like very robust platforms to use.

The key to making money flipping ecommerce stores is to create niche oriented stores. If you want to sell jewelry then make sure your store only sells jewelry … simple. (it will be easier to sell them that way)

So where do you find products or companies that will dropship the merchandise for you?

I found a few cool sites:

- DrDropship.com has quite a few listings and it’s 100% free to browse.

- Dropshipsites.com is also free with many companies to choose from

- Worldwide Brands offers a good service and it will cost you some cash every month but from what I hear it’s well worth it. I might become a member to try it out myself.

Once you find a good supplier it’s time to populate your site with products you are going to sell. You need to figure out prices you are going to charge to make it profitable.

The next step is to SEO your ecommerce store so it starts generating some sales.  With stores it’s basically all about backlinks. The more backlinks you have to your product pages the better they will rank in the serps.

Remember that you are not trying to make this store make tons of money right away so don’t get all frustrated if it doesn’t make thousands of dollars first month lol

We are creating the store so we can flip it and get out Make Money With Ecommerce Store Website

It shouldn’t be hard to make the store generate a few hundred dollars each month. Once you have the income stats you simply list it for sale on Flippa.com and finito!

You could keep it and develop it more if you wanted to. There is a good chance it could turn out to be a very profitable store, but I like to sell stuff after it’s brining in income. Reason for that is because it allows me to constantly develop and try new things.

I prefer getting money in big chunks instead then turn around and reinvest into a bigger better project.

Get Your Own Hosting Account And Domain Name…Seriously!

Today I want to talk about something very important that can have a huge impact on your success with making money online. It surprises me how many people who are serious about building a business still try to use free blogging platforms such as Blogger or WordPress (hosted on wordpress.com) for their main website.

Stop that!

You need to get your own hosting account and your own domain name if you want to build a brand online. It drives me insane when I see killer blogs with lots of quality content on these free blogging platforms…wow what a waste!

Sure, you can use them to build backlinks for your main website or blog, but don’t use them for your main money site!

Someone emailed me the other day and asked me if my SEO strategies will work for their blog on Blogger, so I took a look. The blog had a Page Rank of 4 and ton of content. It was getting pretty decent amount of traffic already too.

I was soo mad when I saw that. I asked the person why isn’t this hosted on your own hosting account and why you don’t own a domain name?  He replied and said, “that’s because it’s free” lol

If you can’t spend $9/year on a domain name and $15 on hosting every month then you seriously need to evaluate your priorities.

It’s crucial that you fully understand that you need a domain name and full control over your hosting space.

Let me give you some reasons why you should NOT use free blogging platforms you don’t host yourself.

1. Your free blog could get wiped out overnight – I’ve heard so many horror stories where people got their blogs shut down without a warning on Blogger. Trust me you don’t want to experience that.

For example, you build a cool blog and things start taking off. One day you make a post about someone, product, or a company that triggers a DMCA complaint against you.

Blogger most likely will terminate your blog without asking any questions so that they can avoid the situation. They host it not you so they can do whatever they want right? Well, all your work and time you put into building the site has just been flushed down the toilet.

Do you want to risk that? I sure wouldn’t!

Blogger changes their terms of service from time to time as well. What if they decide that your content cannot be hosted there anymore?

2. Limited flexibility – On Blogger or other free blogging platforms you don’t have the freedom to install custom scripts, plugins etc. You simply cannot possibly create a better looking blog on Blogger than if you owned a WordPress blog hosted on your own server.

When you host the blog yourself you got more room for improvements.

3. Don’t look professional – When you try to monetize your blog things get complicated with Blogger. First of all, advertisers in certain niches will not buy ad space on such blog because it looks cheap. If it looks cheap it makes them look bad.

I think it’s funny when I see blogs that talk about making money online but they are hosted on Blogger lol

4. You don’t own it – If you really think about it, at the end that free blogger blog is not even yours. Google owns it or whoever owns the platform you host the blog with. They can shut it down for no real reason if they feel like it.

If I am going to build a brand with my blog then I think I would like to have full rights to it. I want to own the content and I want to be able to monetize it the way I feel is most profitable for me. Get it?!!

I hope the reasons above are enough to get you to spend the $9/year and the hosting fee. If not then maybe you shouldn’t start an online business at all.

When I host my own blog I can do so much more and I make the terms of service here. I get to choose which advertiser I am going to work with or how I am going to structure my site. I get to upload whatever I want and install whatever script or plugin I choose.

With your own blog hosted on your own hosting account you also get top notch support from your hosting company (I guess that depends on the company). I recommend that you use Hostgator because it’s reliable and the support is great.

So if you are serious about building a real online business then please do yourself a favor, register your own domain name and get a good hosting provider for your site. It will look more professional and you will actually own it. You can also sell it later much easier if you choose to flip it.

I hope this article was useful and that it gives you something to think about.

Instant Affiliate Paydays

So you want to make money fast? I am going to go over 3 proven to work methods that can create instant affiliate paydays for you on autopilot. You don’t have to pay me $37 to get it either  :-O

First of all, you need to realize that there isn’t a push button software that can make you money overnight. It just doesn’t exist!  The latest Clickbank launches have totally gone out of control and it’s just sad that people are actually falling for all those claims made on their sales letters.

It’s getting to the point where some of the most respected marketers are now starting to endorse this shit. It’s like they are saying “Hey, it’s alright they are lying on the sales page as long as the product delivers some sort of value” …Seriously?

True of the matter is that none of them have used the product they are selling. All the money they make is from selling the product not from using it. Not all of course are like that. There are still some marketers who care about their lists and will never send out crap like that.

Anyway, lately Clickbank supposedly made changes to their product approval process and marketers were required to prove that they make money with the techniques inside their product. We all know that they make money from building massive lists through product launches (not some secret list building software)  So now if you haven’t noticed already most of the new products launching on Clickbank are either squeeze page builders or some sort of software that helps with list building LOL

So much for Clickbank’s new rules heh?

On the other hand I know how it works in the IM niche. If you want to have a successful product launch you need to support one of their launches or they will never mail for you.  Or if for some reason they do you are expected to promote for them when the time comes.

But let’s get back on topic here Instant Affiliate Paydays

To make money online you only need 2 things:

1. High converting offer

2. Targeted traffic

Most people are struggling to get traffic that actually converts. To find a good offer is not that hard. You can just login to your CPA network and see or better yet ask your affiliate manager which ones convert. You can also tell by doing some keyword research for a product name. If there is a good amount of search volume for that specific product it means it’s popular and people are looking for reviews.

So here are my 3 proven methods that you can use to make money fast

1. Solo Ads & List Building – It does work! You know it, I know it, they know it Instant Affiliate Paydays What you need to do is build a high converting squeeze page with a follow up sequence. You also need to give away something of massive value in order to get people on your list excited and trust you.

There is no magical software needed. Get yourself a good HTML editor and start cranking out squeeze pages. I use Dreamweaver but you can use something cheaper like Xsitepro (It does the job well). You also need an autoresponder service. I use Aweber and it’s great!

It’s important that you create at least 2-3 squeeze pages so you can test out which one converts better. To test that you can buy 2 solo ads and use different page for each one, or if you want to be a ninja you can set up a rotator and track conversion from one single campaign. This will require some good tracking script.

The strategy here is to build up your list from solo ads to about 1000-5000 subscribers and then start doing ad swaps with people who can deliver the same amount of clicks as you.

That’s how many gurus started believe it or not.

The best way to monetize solo ads for instant cash is through 100% commission affiliate programs. Basically you want to earn money right away to recoup the cost of your solo ad. If you promote Clickbank products you will need to wait 2 weeks to get that money, so 100% instant commissions directly to your Paypal account sounds better doesn’t it?

So here is how it works: You set up a squeeze page that offers a killer super-duper gift, and once they optin you hit them with the offer where you get paid 100% commission if a sale is made. (Hint: Promote offers relevant to what you are giving away for free)

2. Ranking Review Sites – It’s a proven method to create nice income streams. The strategy is quite simple too. Find a hot product to promote, create a WordPress based review site, and rank it on Google for the product name…done!

The easiest way to rank is by registering a domain name with the product name in it especially when you are just starting out. Reason for that is because your site won’t have much content so to target that most searched phrase (the product name) you should focus the site just on that.

Backlinks are important here. Without backlinks your review site will not rank because it’s not a big authority content site. You are targeting only 2-3 main phrases so backlinks will play a major role in the success of your campaign.

Article marketing still works but it’s not quite as effective as it used to be. Don’t scratch it yet lol It still produces results so keep using it.

There are a few blog networks out there worth checking out if you want to boost rankings quick. I normally don’t recommend this way of getting backlinks but with such tiny sites you won’t have much choice.

If you want to go a bit more advanced route then you could purchase an existing established site and turn that into an authority review site for many different products Instant Affiliate Paydays This way you can take advantage of some of the backlinks already pointing to the site and piggy back of their existing authority.

3. Media buying – I don’t care what everybody says, but paid traffic is the fastest way to make money period. If you see a Clickbank product claiming that you can download their software and with a few clicks get thousands of visitors for free, close the page as soon as you can.

You can though get thousands of visitors or even tens of thousands using traffic networks that have more traffic than you can handle.

The key here is to have an offer that converts. Without that there is no point in buying traffic. So first you need to do some research and find hot offers. You should be a member of multiple CPA networks to see what’s out there and what your options are.

The most popular verticals are:

- Health/Weight loss

- Dating

- Biz Opps

- Downloads

Once you find a good offer you need to figure out your strategy. Some offers convert better when you direct link, but some do better when you presell them (especially health offers).

Preselling is the best option so you will need to build a landing page. What I found works great is a video squeeze page with a video presell on the other side. This way you get to build a list while making money at the same time.

You need to test a lot with paid traffic. This is why most people fail after trying media buys. Most of the time your campaign will either lose money or break even.  Once you have some data though you need to make adjustments. CTR is the most important factor in this game. The higher your CTR the more clicks you get while paying less money. Your banners need to get people’s attention and get them to click. You should create at least 10 different banners for testing.

Where do you get traffic from?

Have you heard about SiteScout? Well they have more traffic than you will ever need to make some serious dough.

Check out this screenshot of some of their inventory:

Instant Affiliate Paydays

You couldn’t buy all the traffic even if you wanted to Instant Affiliate Paydays

Want to see another cool traffic source? Check out MGID.com. Their alexa ranking is quite impressive to say the least.

Instant Affiliate Paydays

They run a huge traffic exchange program and produce a ton of clicks from many popular sites mainly in the entertainment market. So happens is that they sell advertising where you can pay as low as $0.1 per click!

(Wait a minute…did I just reveal one of my secret traffic sources? Hmm I think I did….That’s $97 please)

So the above 3 methods are proven and will always work. The fact is though that some people will never understand that it takes work and dedication. They will continue to buy “make money in X clicks” type stuff and will never make it in this game of internet marketing.

I just hope you are not one of them…Peace!

Cool WordPress Stats Plugin

I have been looking around for a good WordPress stats plugin that would allow me to display stats of my blog inside my Admin area. I have tested a few good ones out there, but I think so far WP SlimStat is the best one I tried.

If you use Google Analytics for your blog then you probably don’t need this option, but I like the idea of real time stats Cool WordPress Stats Plugin

Anyway, WP SlimStat is a free plugin and you can download it here. You can also get it from inside your Admin area by searching for it through the Plugin Search function. Simply click on “Plugins” then “Add New”, type “WP SlimStat” in the search box and hit the Search button. You can install it now within seconds.

Cool WordPress Stats PluginCool WordPress Stats Plugin

Once the plugin is installed it’s going to add the “SlimStat” tab under Dashboard section inside your WordPress Admin area.

When you click on it you will see how powerful this little plugin actually is. At first there will be no data, but if you get nice steady flow of traffic it will quickly start showing all the info you need.

So let’s check it out.

The main dashboard will look like this

Cool WordPress Stats Plugin

Obviously I needed to blur out some data here Cool WordPress Stats Plugin

The WP SlimStat gives you more data than you possibly need in my opinion. I kinda like it a lot though.

The main tables I always check on the main dashboard are Recent Keywords, Known Visitors, Popular Pages, and Traffic Sources.

Some of the tables can be expanded by clicking on the little “More” link which will give you even more in-depth data.

Cool WordPress Stats Plugin

The main navigation menu looks like this

Cool WordPress Stats Plugin

The WP SlimStat is a really useful stats plugin for WordPress. I don’t think I have to tell you how important it is to track all this data about your blog.

Here is just some of the info it provides:

- Shows top countries

- Recent visitors and IPs

- Recent keywords

- User agents hitting your site

- Languages and operating systems

- Top traffic sources (domains and search engines)

- Bounce rate (recent bouncing pages)

- World map (Shows top countries where you get most of your traffic from)

The more I get used to it the more I like it. It’s a very useful tool for any serious blogger and it’s 100% free, so that’s cool.

You can also apply different filters while analyzing your data.

Overall, I think it’s better than the official WP Stats plugin. It’s just more powerful and gives you a lot more insights about your blog’s traffic.

Unstoppable Affiliate

I have decided to do a full blown review of the Unstoppable Affiliate video course by Andrew Hansen because I felt like I needed to share some of this info with you.

The IM niche is flooded with products that don’t deliver and promise all kinds of false claims. Since last year we have seen a ton of Clickbank product launches that simply scammed people out of their money and never delivered what was promised on their sales letter. This is going to continue unless you stop buying the “make money in x clicks” type shit.

Anyway, once in a while there is a product worth buying that can truly help you succeed at making money online and I believe that’s the case here with the Unstoppable Affiliate course.

The product was created by Andrew Hansen who has been making a nice comfortable living creating review sites that make affiliate sales. It’s a simple concept and it flat out works.

I have gotten access to the product so I decided to show you exactly what you are getting and how it’s going to help you.

When you first land inside the member’s area you will see the following screen:

Unstoppable Affiliate

The course consists of 4 main modules presented in a step by step format so that you can simply follow along and learn everything you need to build profitable affiliate sites.

I am going to review each module individually so that you have an idea about all the stuff you will discover and the value of the information included.

Research Module

In this module there are 10 videos total. There are some serious golden nuggets inside this part of the course that I believe every affiliate should learn.

When you are choosing products to promote it’s important to do proper keyword and niche research. You don’t want to promote products that don’t convert or have no search volume. I think Andrew has done an awesome job with this part of the course because even I learned something new from his videos.

He is going to show you what tools he uses to pin point the right niche markets and how to find products that actually convert. Andrew goes over the research process in great detail so that you know exactly what to do. You shouldn’t even proceed watching other videos before taking action on the research plan.

Some cool stuff you will learn from this module:

- How to test profitability of an offer before sending traffic to it

- How to find offers with low competition but high conversion rates

- What essential key features every offer you promote must have on their landing page

- How to find keywords that will bring in visitors and turn them into buyers

- Which tools to use to basically predict if the offer is going to be hot or not

- How to target brand name keywords properly

If you are serious about affiliate marketing then this module alone is worth the price of the Unstoppable Affiliate course.

Site Strategies Module

In this part of the course there are 10 videos as well with some seriously awesome content Unstoppable Affiliate

This module starts out with showing you 2 different affiliate site models. First one is “One Product Per Site Model” and second “Multiple Products Per Site” or niche authority site in other words.

I am a fan of building massive content sites so I prefer building one big site promoting many different products. This works best for me and with this model you can target much larger audience than with an affiliate site that targets 1-3 keywords.

You can decide for yourself which one you want to go with, but I recommend building bigger sites.

In this section of the course you will discover some really powerful tactics. I know they work because I use them myself. Andrew will show you exactly how to bypass some of the issues with ranking sites on top of Google using a proven and tested method that I personally call “ship takeover”.

There are 2 videos showing step by step how to install your site using WordPress so if you already know all the tech stuff you can totally skip this part.

Next, Andrew shows exactly how an affiliate minisite should look like and what key ingredients you need to maximize the profit potential. There are 2 videos that explain everything in detail and how to make things work.

This module is mostly about tech stuff and how to set everything up. Some more advanced marketers can skip a few videos here, but I recommend that you watch video 1, 2, 3, 7, and 8

Here is what you will learn from this module:

- Pros and Cons of 2 different affiliate site models

- How to quickly get trust and rank quickly

- How to install and create a killer looking affiliate minisite

- How to track and use your stats data to make more money

If you are just starting out this module is going to put you on the fast track. After going through all the 10 videos you should be able to set up your own affiliate minisite that converts and is search engine optimized for maximum exposure.

Conversion Strategy Module

In this module of the Unstoppable Affiliate course you will discover conversion tactics that will make your visitors click-through your affiliate link and buy the product you are promoting. This is a key element because if your review page cannot convert well, you are not going to make money.

There are 12 videos inside this part of the training program.

It starts out with showing you exactly how to prepare a killer presell page. Here you will find out how to write for your readers so that they get the information they need and make a purchase. Andrew teaches how to use powerful preselling strategies within the content without being looked at as a pushy sales man.

In videos 4-5 he goes over the process live on screen and shows you how he creates an article for one of his review sites. A lot of internet marketing courses usually just give you theory and leave out the actual steps, and that’s not the case here with the Unstoppable Affiliate training.

Video 6 and 7 teaches how to boost your click-through rates. When you start getting visitors to your affiliate minisite you need to get them to take the first action in your sales process which is the “click”. I recommend that you DO NOT skip these videos and watch them all the way through.

In the last 5 videos you will discover more really effective ways to improve your conversions and how to structure the content so it’s easily readable by your readers.

Here is what you will learn from this module:

- How to write content and how to structure it for maximum conversions

- How to deliver the content so that it’s clearly visible and gets your visitors to take action

- Live video showing how Andrew writes a presell article for one of his review sites

- Killer strategies to increase click-through rates

- How to get even more clicks with the same amount of traffic

This part of the training is crucial and should not be skipped. Even you are an advanced affiliate marketer I strongly urge you to watch every single one of them.

Traffic Mastery Module

When you click on the Traffic Mastery tab you will find about 13 videos total. This is the most important part of the course because it shows you how to get the eyeballs to your affiliate minisite.

The entire module is mainly all about SEO and how to rank your presell pages on the front page of Google.

The first 2 videos are about the core structure of your link building campaign. The next couple of videos go into spying on your competition and how to basically reverse engineer their backlinks.

There are some cool videos about article marketing and how you can still use it to gain more traffic. You will also learn about blog commenting, rss syndication, profile linking etc.

I normally don’t recommend getting links through spamming sites with useless profiles but…hey to some extent it does work for now.  There is a video about guest posting on high quality blogs at the end of this module which is what I recommend for high quality backlinks.

Here is what you will learn from this part of the course

- How to structure your link building campaign

- How to use article marketing to gain more traffic

- How to get links from quality blogs

- How to build second tier backlinks

- How to get to the top of the serps easily and quickly

The Traffic Mastery module is definitely important and you should probably watch the videos a few times to really get it.

What I would like to add here is that quality of your content is extremely important. If you gain top rankings for your main keywords but don’t have the content to back it up, you will lose it quickly. Keep that in mind.

At the end of the Unstoppable Affiliate videos Andrew added another 23 minute video bonus about outsourcing all your work.

Overall this is a great video course and I fully endorse it because it works and because it provides actionable steps that you can implement.

Andrew also offers a Coaching program with a guarantee of success. If you want personal assistance and some more advanced strategies then go ahead and sign up. It’s the real deal and I think it will truly help you. The Coaching program is an 8 week mentoring program with weekly webinars, extra resources, access to their own outsourcers, personal email access etc.

Unstoppable Affiliate Bonus

I am offering a bonus if you purchase the Unstoppable Affiliate course through the link below. Next 50 people who grab it will get my Fast Backlink Booster software for free. I have developed this tool for myself and have been using it to boost some of my backlinks with a click of button.

To claim your bonus simply click on the link below and purchase Andrew’s course. Then send me an email to pipublishing[at]live.com with a subject line “UA bonus” and I will forward you the download link. Don’t forget to include your receipt inside the email.

Merchant Trying To Bully You?

Believe it or not some merchants will try not to pay you if you are making sales from visitors that type in their brand name to Google and then landing on your site, or people who search for reviews of their products and finding your affiliate page.

I actually don’t know why those merchants run an affiliate program at this point to be honest. You will find plenty of those idiots on CJ.com.

Basically they don’t want you to rank for their brand name or do advertising targeting their product names. While I understand why they might not want you to do Adwords ads for their name, I don’t understand why they might want to take you out if you rank organically.

They claim that an affiliate who ranks for their brand name is stealing their sales. They think that the customer who lands on an affiliate page would order the product anyway without reading the affiliate’s review.

Those morons are so wrong!

How many times have you actually typed in a product name and went straight to the merchant’s page and bought it? I always read what others have to say about the product before making my decision to buy it. A smart affiliate can make a great side by side comparison with other competing products and presell it to save the sale. (They don’t get it though)

I have heard different horror stories recently where a merchant contacts an affiliate and tells them to stop using their name or they get booted from the affiliate program. If you are not using their trademark in your domain name then it should be perfectly fine, but not according to them.

I guess you are supposed to just write about them without revealing their name.

Some merchants will even try to bully you and file a fake DMCA complaint against you. They might even go a step further and try to tell you that you need to sell them the site. (Yes, it happens)

First of all, you can write whatever you want about them as long as you are not making shit up. If their product sucks you can say so. They can’t stop you from doing it unless you use their trademark in your domain name.  If they file a fake DMCA complaint against you then you file a lawsuit and make them pay a fine lol

When you are promoting them with a positive review that ranks for their brand name, they might kick you out from their affiliate program knowing that most likely you won’t change the content, and it will stay positive making them more money.

If that happens to you what I suggest you to do is promote their best competitor.  You control the traffic not them. You can change your opinion about their product or service and drive those visitors away.

It sucks when this happens because of all the work and time you put into ranking the page and writing your presell.

In my opinion it’s great for the merchant to have huge affiliate force promoting their products and targeting their name. This helps with keeping the negative stuff away from the front page of Google.

As soon as they start messing with affiliates who are banking from their name, things start to get nasty and all kinds of negative reviews can instantly show up right at the top driving those supposedly guaranteed sales away.

Make Money Online With Facebook Notes

So there is a nice loophole right now that affiliates are exploiting on massive scale.  The strategy can bank you a nice chunk of cash if you act fast because I imagine Google is going to stop this soon.

The strategy is quite simple. You create fake Facebook profiles and make notes with your affiliate links. These notes get indexed in Google and since Facebook is an authority site with PageRank 10 they rank quite well too.

Some affiliates even build links to their notes to get them bumped even higher. This strategy works amazingly well right now, so if you want to take advantage of it don’t wait too long Make Money Online With Facebook Notes

Let me show you some examples I found that are banking some money for these affiliates.

Here is one for keyword phrase “Weight Watchers Coupons”

Make Money Online With Facebook Notes

Here is one for keyword phrase “cheapest apple Ipad 2”

Make Money Online With Facebook Notes

Here is one for “best price toro sr4”

Make Money Online With Facebook Notes

These Facebook notes are also well put together and usually target only buyer keywords. Check out this one:

Make Money Online With Facebook Notes

It has the specs of the product, review rating, the 100% satisfaction guarantee image, and the pic of the actual product.

This is so simple to do! You don’t have to build a new site, register a domain name, or write a ton of content. Just find hot products and write some presell pages.

You don’t have to do this just for Amazon products. I believe you could cash in promoting CPA offers and other affiliate networks.

Some notes rank better than others, which means you will still need to build some backlinks to them. But as you can see they outrank many more relevant sites and I bet you it won’t last for very long.

Here are the pros of doing this:

- Quick rankings without much effort

- Instant traffic which means you can make money pretty quick

- Not much work is required to make some easy money

The cons

- Probably will not last for very long

- You are not building a business

- Once Google stops indexing them your income stops instantly as well

- Short term method

I am guessing that it may work for a while. Actually I think Facebook will take action against it before Google will, but I could be wrong.

There are many other ways to make money with this loophole. You don’t have to promote just affiliate links on these notes. It could be used to build a list, or redirect traffic to your own sites.

These notes don’t really provide any value for the most part. Affiliates usually go for quantity creating these fake profiles using automated software or outsourcers.

I think it’s spam and Google shouldn’t index it…just my personal opinion.

Add Your Google Profile Picture Next To Your Search Engine Listing

I have noticed recently that some people are able to add their picture next to their listings in the serps. Those listings caught my attention and I actually clicked on them first, which tells me that these pages get much higher CTR.

It looks like this in the serps:

Add Your Google Profile Picture Next To Your Search Engine Listing

If you see a search engine listing with a picture next to it there is a higher chance that you will click that link. Of course the result must still be relevant to your searched keyword phrase, but I am sure you get the point.

I wanted to know how it’s done so that I can do it for my own blog and few other sites I have. Turns out it’s actually easy to do.

First, you need to have a Google Profile. You also have to “+1” a page to use this feature. So find a post you liked and +1 it.

There are only 2 things required on your side.

1. You need to link to the “about me” page in your blog posts. The link needs the rel=”author” tag for this to work.

2. Your “about me” page needs to have a link to your Google Profile page. Make sure to include the rel=”me” tag.

If you look up in this post and hover your mouse over my name where it says “by Pawel Reszka on” you will notice the link to my “about me” page. When you click on it you can see the link I made at the end of the post to my Google Profile page.

Add Your Google Profile Picture Next To Your Search Engine Listing

To activate the authorship markup feature, you will need to add the link to your “about me” page in your Google Profile.

Add Your Google Profile Picture Next To Your Search Engine Listing

So login to your Google account and navigate to your profile (or create one). Next, +1 a webpage or someone else’s post that you liked. Then in your profile click on “+1s” tab and then “Edit Profile” link. Here you will need to select “Show this tab on my profile”

Add Your Google Profile Picture Next To Your Search Engine Listing

Now just click on the “About” tab in your Google Profile and add the link to your “about me” page on your blog. Make sure to select the checkbox where it says “This page is specifically about me”

Add Your Google Profile Picture Next To Your Search Engine Listing

Once you have completed the above steps you can fill out this form and wait for Google to add you to their authorship markup system. I have no idea how long it takes for them to do it.

To test it and see if you did everything right you can use Google’s rich snippets tool.

Mine looks like this:

Add Your Google Profile Picture Next To Your Search Engine Listing

If you use Thesis theme like I do you can simply navigate to your “Display Options” tab and just choose to show your name in bylines and then link to author’s name.

Then you can just add a custom function to add a link from the author’s page to your Google Profile.

How can this help you get higher search engine rankings?

The higher your CTR the more traffic you will get and your listing will go up in rankings. Google tracks how many clicks each listing gets. If you are getting more clicks then it must be more relevant in the eyes of Google. If the page also gets “+1s” then it could influence your rankings even more.

Having your profile pic next to your search engine listings is a huge advantage right now because only a few people use this feature. I am guessing this will be effective until everybody jumps on bandwagon. The day when you hit search and see almost all listings having a profile picture will be the day when it loses its effectiveness.

SEMRush Keyword Tool Review

I have been playing around with SEMRush keyword tool for the past couple of weeks and the more I use it the more I like it. I have to admit that it provides some great keyword research data. If you are an affiliate who is trying to rank sites on Google then this keyword tool can seriously help you.

SEMRush offers different account options such as Enterprise, Guru, and PRO. For most affiliates the PRO option is more than enough. The cost is about $70/month but it’s well worth it in my opinion.

You can do some serious spying using SEMRush because they allow you to research a specific domain name.  If you want to find out what keywords your competition is targeting and where they are ranking then SEMRush is the tool for the job.

The search function works quite fast too so you get your results almost instantly which is really cool. I hate keyword tools that take minutes to load the results I need.

Anyway, once you get an account you can do 2 types of research. You can type in a keyword phrase or you can type in a domain name you might want to spy on.

SEMRush Keyword Tool Review

When you type in a keyword phrase and hit search it will bring up 3 keyword research reports (Main Keyword Report, Phrase Match Report, and Related Keywords Report)

So let’s do a quick search for “electronic cigarette” keyword phrase.

The first thing we get is the Main Keyword Report that displays keyword summary, top 10 phrase match keywords, top 10 related keywords, organic results, and Adwords data (if any).

So for the keyword “electronic cigarette” the summary we get looks like this:

Here you can also choose country specific results if you’d like.

Further down the page we can view other reports which we can expand and drill down even deeper for each keyword phrase we want to target.

Below that you can find current top 20 organic results. You can instantly click on each domain and get more info about them and what other phrases they are going after.

All this data can be very useful when you are building niche affiliate sites. By spying on your competition you basically avoid all the guess work and can easily find the most profitable keyword phrases in your niche.

Obviously you still need backlinks to get your sites ranked, but using SEMRush you can save a lot of time and money in the long run.

Now, let’s do a search for a specific domain name to see what reports we get.

In this example I am going to search for “JohnChow.com”…  ;)

Here are the results:

SEMRush Keyword Tool Review

When you make a search for a specific domain name you get a nice overview of their traffic, competition, and keywords they rank for.

After I click on “Full report” I can get a nice list of high traffic keywords that JohnChow.com is targeting. What’s even cooler is that I can see the exact url that ranks in the serps and get more specific data on that particular post John made.

For example:

SEMRush Keyword Tool Review

Here I highlighted the phrase “how to make a girl fall in love with you” and by clicking on the url info I can see more keyword phrases that this post is ranking for.

SEMRush Keyword Tool Review

As you can see SEMRush has some really powerful features that can give you a huge advantage over your competition in the serps.

I like the fact that you can research a specific url and not just the domain name you want to spy on. Overall it’s a great service I am going to be using more in the future for some of my own sites.  I can easily find the right keywords to target plus analyzing their data simplifies the process of structuring your content pages.

SEMRush is definitely a service I recommend if you are serious about SEO and getting free traffic. There is no point ranking in the top 10 if nobody actually searches for the keyword phrase. You want to find and target keywords that are already proven to produce results.

There are actually other stuff you can do which I didn’t cover. You can view competition graphs, research potential ad buyers for your site, spy on Adwords ads, etc.
